Christ Stethem on The Avalanche Hour Podcast

Chris Stethem, a founding member of the Canadian Avalanche Association, appears on the Avalanche Hour podcast with Grant Statham.

Chris Stethem is one of the Dean’s of the Canadian avalanche industry. He started patrolling at Whistler in the early-70s, started Canada’s first avalanche consulting firm, was a founding member of the CAA, and was the association’s President from 1998 to 1992.

He just appeared on The Avalanche Hour podcast, where he was interviewed by host Dominic Baker and another Canadian legend, Grant Statham. The 2.5-hour conversation is broken into two episodes, where Chris talks about patrolling in Whistler, his work as a consultant, and his work with the CAA. It’s a fascinating listen and you’ll hear some stories that weren’t mentioned in our CAA History Project interview.

Check it out.
